A Quick Introduction

We are Snap Finger Click Limited, a UK-based game developer. We make party games for PC and console. This interactive center is designed to make our Privacy & Cookie Policy clear, transparent, and easy to navigate. We want you to understand your rights and our responsibilities in plain English.

Your Privacy at a Glance

Who is in control?

Snap Finger Click Limited. We are the "Data Controller" for our websites, our shop, and our own games (like Awkward).

What data do we collect?

We collect data when you use our websites, buy from our shop, or play our games. This can include analytics, purchase details, and game telemetry.

What about children?

We take this very seriously. Our services are often "likely to be accessed by children," so we apply the special protections of the UK's Children's Code to all our services.

Do we sell your data?

No. We do not sell your personal data. We may "Share" data (as defined by California law) for advertising, which you can opt-out of.

Who can I talk to?

You can contact us any time about your privacy at privacy-policy@snapfingerclick.com.

Our Commitment to Children & Young People

As a game developer, many of our services are 'likely to be accessed by children'. We design all our services in conformance with the UK's Age Appropriate Design Code (the 'Children's Code'). The best interests of the child are a primary consideration in everything we do. This section explains our commitments in plain English.

We use a neutral age-gate (a date-of-birth request) on our games and services to identify users who are under 18. This helps us apply the right protections.

For users identified as under 18, all non-essential data collection, public profiles, and data sharing features are switched OFF by default. You must actively choose to turn them on.

We do not collect precise geolocation data (like your exact GPS coordinates). Any non-precise location features (like setting a general region) are OFF by default.

We do not use personal data for marketing, advertising, or behavioral profiling of anyone under 18. Period.

We do not use manipulative game mechanics ('nudge techniques') to encourage users to weaken their privacy settings, share more data than necessary, or make purchases.

What Personal Data We Collect (and Why)

We collect different types of data depending on how you interact with us. We believe in "data minimization," which means we only collect what we truly need. This section breaks down what we collect and why we need it. Use the tabs to explore data collection on our different services.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use them, and similar technologies like the Facebook Pixel, to make our site work, understand how you use it, and for marketing. This section explains the types of tracking we use.

Strictly Necessary

These are essential for the site to work. For example, they remember what's in your shopping cart on our Shopify store. You cannot turn these off.

Performance / Analytics

These help us understand how you use our site so we can improve it. For example, Google Analytics tells us which pages are most popular.

Marketing / Targeting

These are set by our partners (like Meta/Facebook) to show you relevant ads on other sites. This is considered "Sharing" under California law.

Your Consent

When you first visit our site, we will ask for your consent to set non-essential cookies (like Analytics and Marketing). You can change your mind at any time using our cookie settings banner.

Our Policy Scope (What It Covers)

This is a very important distinction. This policy covers all services where Snap Finger Click is the Data Controller (meaning we are in charge of the data). This policy does NOT cover games where we are the developer for another publisher. In that case, we are a "Data Processor" (a service provider) and the publisher controls your data.

This Policy COVERS

Services where we are the Data Controller:

  • Our websites (snapfingerclick.com)
  • Our e-commerce store (shop.snapfingerclick.com)
  • Our newsletter (via Mailchimp)
  • Our own games where we are the publisher:
    • Awkward
    • Awkward 2
    • It's Quiz Time
    • It's Quiz Time: GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Edition
    • Act It Out
    • Act It Out XL
    • Befuddle

This Policy does NOT Cover

Games where we are only the Developer (Data Processor):

  • UNO (Controller: Ubisoft)
  • Family Feud (Controller: Ubisoft)
  • Trivial Pursuit Live! 2 (Controller: Ubisoft)

For these games, you must read the publisher's privacy policy to understand your rights.

Security, Retention & Data Transfers

We take protecting your data seriously. This section explains the technical measures we use, how long we keep your data, and where it might be processed.

Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data. This includes:

  • SSL encryption for data in transit.
  • Internal access controls to limit who can see your data.
  • Working with trusted partners (like Shopify and Google) who have strong security.

Data Retention

We only keep your data for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or for legal reasons.

  • Shop Orders: Retained for tax/legal purposes.
  • Player Support Tickets: Retained for a period after the ticket is closed to ensure resolution.
  • Website Analytics: Generally kept for 26 months.

International Data Transfers

We are a UK company. Your data is primarily stored in the UK. However, some of our service providers (like Google, Meta, Shopify, and Unity) are based in the United States.

When we transfer data outside the UK/EEA, we use legal safeguards to ensure its protection. This includes relying on the EU-US/UK-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
